In order for us to really help you, we need to know what gear you are turning on this boat. I would think it is a 1.5:1 reduction, but it could be something else. In addition, if you have any running info now, such as "the motors will only max out at 3500 rpm" and if you know what props you have on the boat, then we can assist with some speculation or good guesses. Also, you noticed I said prop(s), so I was assuming this was a twin engine application, but if it is a single motor, then that means a lot too.
For instance, I would guess with a single 318 and 1.5:1 gear reduction, a 25-foot Chris with a fast bottom like the Catalina, would take a 14x15 RH or something getting close to that.
