I have recently imported a Doral 45' Alegria from Florida to Western Australia. Great Boat but the owners manual is somewhat limited. I have found the "city water" connection but I have not found the filling point for the freshwater tank anywhere? There is a valve with a "fill" position close to the "city water" connection but this does not seem to do it ? Any help gladly received so we can get some water onboard and put to sea !

Halleluia ! Halleluia !

The Answer !

Not sure of the design rationalle but the "Fill Valve" is the secret. You MUST have it in the "Fill" position when you do NOT want to fill the tank and just use city water. When in the oposite position (i.e. NOT fill) it then "fills the tank"........ Obvious really !! (NOT).......... Funny that, we work on the opposite logic down under! We mistakenly assumed the "FILL" position on the valve would fill the tank. This is probably related to the coriolis effect being the wrong way around down under............ Hope this helps anyone else who has taken delivery of an Alegria........... Now the hunt for the elusive waste water Y valve begins......
