HI To All:
I have really been hard at work on the commander and she is looking good! I had hoped to splash in the fall but had to take time out for some stents in the Old Ticker!I am back hard at it now and hope all you are doing well.
Yes,I read every post on the site!
It is really bad times and I understand some times we must bail out on the stuff from time to time.I doubt if you can sell .I am a big e-bay guy and the site is now full of junk and cheap stuff and most every one are not posting anything worth while.
The Commanders are great sea boats and some are sold really cheap. But you need cash for that and not a lot of us have 20 K to spend on a boat.I bought my commander really cheap before the crash and I have spent around 20 k and done all the work myself. The biggest item was repower a. then it is a thousand here and there from then on.
My advise to any one is not but a boat that isn't complete and at least running!
I have all the gelcoating done and now for the sanding>>UGH  but I have all winter and hope to splash in the spring.Another problem is the slip rent, etc.I can get a slip for around 10.00 a day or 300.00 a month  with cable TV and water and I will have to furnish the Electric. That is for a 40 foot slip under cover.I think the marina will really be dead this winter...E-15 Well that is a pay off to Cargill and company..We are in grave trouble in this country and I really worry about the younger generation. Most are politically stupid.WE must take control of the country or all will be lost.
Hope all you guys make it with out a lot of trouble!!Good Luck and keep the post comming!  Bill

Great to hear from you Bill.  If you have some recent photos of the boat, please feel free to email them to me, I will post for the others to see and enjoy.  After seeing your work on the Catalina 280 I am sure the Commander will be a thing of beauty!

As far as selling is concerned, this is probably the toughest market ever.  I don't want to give her away, she runs excellent, is mostly complete just need to finish up the cabin headliner and some flooring.  Just need to find the right person.

Tom
