Hi all!! Its a great board here with interesting posts.  I have owned a 280 for the past few years, im in NY on the great south bay.  Im always running families back and forth to the beach, whats the max weight you think the boat holds?  I've had 8 kids and six adults plus alot of bags etc at once.  She seems to take it fine.. is there a weight limit they have?  Thanks! Kevin

Welcome to the forum...  The Chris Craft Catalina forum is the central repository for all things Catalina and where the majority of the members post.  Pleae consider putting your question out to everyone in that group.

Where is your home port?  We are in Bayport and do most of our boating in the large part of the GS Bay.

My Catalina does not have a capacity plate but it may be what they call "yacht certified" and are not subject to the regulations of smaller boats.  Passanger comfort/closeness may give way before our Catalinas do.  How far above the normal water line was she when loaded?
