Hey anybody install an inverter on a 36' Double Cabin Uniflite? I am having trouble visualizing the electrical schematic or diagram. I currently have one shore power line 30amps coming into the boat's breaker panel and there is a generator on board. I want to add a 3000/5000 W inverter with a power source of 4 stand alone batteries wired in series.
I was thinking about locating the inverter under the dinning settee. The concern is that an electric 10 gallon hot water heater is also housed there. The location would be within 5 feet of the battery bank located in the engine well and the area could be vented to the port bilge vent very easily. The obvious concern is power loss do to the heat generated in the enclosed area under the settee?? Will proper blower driven venting work? Can anyone provide a simple schematic/diagram to help me understand the wiring sequence? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Billy
