Anyone have know how to remove the windshield from a 1974/75 chris craft 25 express day cruiser

scubapop- I haven't removed them on earlier models but on my 83 it is just held in with screws around the perimeter that go from the aluminum and anchor into the fiberglass superstructure. They are hidden on the later models by a plastic strip that locks into a channel in the aluminum. If you are careful with a flat blade screwdriver you can pop out the lock strips. The older ones may not have the lock strips. I think there are also 2 large screws on the back of the wing windows

Berg---Thanks for the input---as soon as the rain stops I'll check. I know there is a plastic strip runnig along the lower portion of the frame for the two front panes perhaps the screws you reference are under it. Thanks again for your help

I think I have the original installation instructions from 'Water Bonnet'. They are part of Taylor Made these days http://www.waterbonnet.com/.

SCUBA POP THE WINDSHIEL IS IN 4 SECTIONS AND IS QUITE BULKY WHEN REMOVING OR INSTALLING-I HAVE DONE MINE-THER ARE WIRES RUNNING UP THROUGH BOTH SIDES OF THE SIDE WINDOWS ONE SIDE IS ANCHOR LIGHT FEED-THE OTHER SIDE IS WIPER MOTOR WIRES-BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DISASSEMBLING--THERE ARE SCREWS ALSO IN THE SIDE WINDOWS AND THE SECTIONS COME APART BY ROTATING THEM-- NOTICE THE ALUMINUM CHANNELS THEY ARE KEY TO THE WHOLE THING ONE IN THE CENTER AND ONE ON EACH CORNER-ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE WING VENTS-THEY ALSO ROTATE INTO POSITION AND IF NOT CAREFUL WILL SLIP AND FALL OUT--GOOD LUCK

WINDSHIELD REMOVED AND INSTALEED I N 45 MINUTES----THANKS FOR ALL THE HINTS AND THE ORGINAL INSTRUCTIONS FROM ROY .
