Hello!  I just found this site while looking for information on replacing the window/portlight screens on my 1984 36' double cabin Uniflite.  I can't rescreen them as many of the plastic frames are broken.  The previous owner used duck tape to hold them in place.

We have owned the boat since November and are slowly updating the boat.  Just to be safe we had both cursaders tuned-up, oil and filters changed, all belts and hoses replaced, all impellers replaced, shaft packings done, props tuned and both distributors replaced.  We have also added a bilge alarm and checked all bilge pumps.   Needless to say she runs great and is mechanically sound and I am secure that she is seaworthy.  We are now starting the cosmetics.

Well this post got longer than I intended so I will signoff.  If anyone has information to share it will be appreciated!

Thanks & Safe Boating

Welcome aboard Boatin' Billy,

About your portlights, I have found the source for them (in Florida), at least for my 42'.  You can see them in the picture on my "signature".  Let me know if they are the same type.  Meanwhile, I'll lookup the source and info.

Boatin' Billy,

These are the portlights on my 42’ SE II (except on my ’84 everything is off white): G818-AD28, White, Tint, 8 1/2"x 18 7/16", $185.00.  I found them at Pompanette Gray Enterprises of Tampa, www.pompanette.com.  They are supposed to be available through your boating supply such as West Marine.
