Just changed the oil in my 2005 Monticello's outdrive. Have done this each year but I don't have a torque wrench to check the nut tightness (45 ft.lb. front, 50 rear). Don't see how one could be used with the special VP tool anyhow.
Question: How much fore/aft play should there be in the front prop? There is a bushing in the front nut and if tightened to elinminate play, it protrudes from the nut. Should there be any play in the front prop? I usually leave about 1/16".
Would appreciate imput. Thanks.
