Topic: Still Cruisin with my ’81 36DC

It's been a while since my last haulout post. We've had some great cruises to the Gulf Islands and San Juans. The boat has been running great for the most part. I've replaced the coolant reservoir pressure caps with non-Volvo ones which do the same job for a lot less coin, and managed to find some less expensive alternatives for oil/fuel/air filters. I fabricated new lens for stern clearance light by modifying a lens from another light, installed a galvanic isolator, installed a freshwater flush system for the heat exchangers, drank some spirits, got lots of sun, and played a lot of guitar. This year we're going north to Desolation Sound but further than we've been previously, ie. Campbell River and Pendrell Sound etc. I recently bought a surface supplied diving outfit and I'm looking forward to trying it out this season when the water warms up a little. Crabs beware! We tie up in downtown Nanaimo BC year round.  Drop me a line at acasey@shaw.ca if you plan to be up this way and drop in for a visit, dine out or take a cruise with us.
