To owners of Older Californians [ mine is a 1977 42' LRC ]:

If you have the master configuration with two Twin Bunks and are sick of it and have a small tub and shower in the head and are sick of that, I am in the middle of a remodel of both that I am very happy about.

The bed wil be a Queen size [60 X 79] and the Tub enclosure is history. It will be replaced with an upgraded Grohe shower and a high end shower curtain with top and bottom tracks. The sump pump will be upgraded with an automatic float switch. When the shower is not in use and the curtain is drawn back, the entire shower area is usable for dressing area.

The second bunk in the Master has been converted into a second hanging closet with storage bins behind the hanging clothes, and a bench seat in front of the closet doors. All in all, we have improved the livability of the Master and increased the storage by more than a factor of two.

And, while I'm at it, I have installed a stabilizer system that will change my cruising almost as much as the addition of a bow thruster did. No more of this .
