Gary - good luck on this one! We've been round' the horn a couple of times on this one. When a yard kindly ripped my rubrail out of the side of my boat last Spring, I almost pooped my pants! No....seriously....I did. But that would have been ONLY after I choked the 18 years lift operator to death with a piece of my rubrail.
I had no choice but to settle for the repair that was made. I guess it is acceptable but shouldn't have happened in the first place. I blame myself for not insisting on; a) double straps, or; b) blocking out the straps with carpeted 4x4's. My bad.
From what I've discovered this rubrail just ain't available from anywhere, anyhow, anyway. I researched this high and low.
I'm sure you have googled and gaggled all the same sites I did. Good luck!
