On my 1982 Catalina 27 the plastic water tank is starting to affect the water taste/smell. I've over the years used a little bleach with each fill-up. However, last year I used a water tank cleaner/deodoriser product (Star-Brite Aquaclean) and followed the diresctions carefully. It made no change and the tank still has a sort of petroleum smell. Is this plastic tank breaking down or what?
