Hey All. I currently own a 1987 Thompson Daytona 290. I love the boat
but am tired of all the repairs and upgrades needed and just want to
enjoy a good cruising/stable boat. My buddy has a really nice 2003 270
Fiesta Vee he would sell me really cheap. It's got the 350 engine with i
believe the Bravo III stern drives. i know it's got a ton of upgrades
including the arch. I kind of wanted to go for the larger
sizes but i don't think I can pass up this deal. Any Rinker owners care to
share your dislikes/likes on these models?

Thanks!

Well we bought her and love it! We have owned her for just about 3
weeks and have had 3 overnighters at the docks and many day trips.
She runs amazing and layout if perfect for us! Any other LI Rinker
owners in here????

Own a 2002 Rinker 270, boat is very solid, Rinker takes some shortcuts with things but all in all a decent boat.  Use it in salt water mostly on South Shore of Long Island NY.  Have Fresh water cooling engine, had to onstall South Bay strainer intake for raw cooling water due to eel grass fouling my fresh water cooling heat exchanger.  Had a few Mercruiser Problems but nothing major related to the Rinker Boat.  In 2004 they redesigned the Hull giving the engine compartment an extea foot or so of length.  This gives more room in the engine compartment, longer riding hull, and they raised the swim platform about 10 inches.  My swim platform is very close to the water and if i'm anchored ar fiskhing in deacent chop the platform constantly slaps the water and gets washed.
