I just picked up a 1997 190 wa sea pro/ with a 115 johnson. I'm trying to find out what size fuel tank is on the boat, but having difficulty getting any info. If anybody could tell me it would be helpful. All equipment to the best of my knowlege is original.
I have a Sea Pro 238 WA and there is a circular inspection port in the battery box under the aft seat. If you open this port you can view the fuel tank nameplate as well as inspecting the fittings and fuel lines leading to the Outboard engine. I don't know if your boat has the same set-up but I would think that it would be similar.
unfortunately I still can't find out what size fuel tank my 1997 sea pro 190wa has. I have been to just about every web site, and have checked everywhere on the boat. Including under the deck where the sending unit goes into the tank. I'm at a loss for places to look. Any other ideas would be welcome. Thanks Chris
You could make some ballpark measurements of the fuel tank and calculate the volume. My fuel tank is rectangular crossection which I can measure and approximate the length by measurement through a couple of the removable port holes in the deck. Then you could fill your tank, and with a flow measurement device measure the fuel useage until it is almost empty and refill and determine the diffference. Would that be close enogh??
