The 1974? 28' Uniflite Sportfisher I am buying seems to me that Uniflite used foam as structure when they layed up the stringers.

Did Uniflite use any wood in the stringers, transom, or engine beds as part of their construction and structure?

Got a 1971 31 Uniflite. So far the only spot I found some foam in the structure of the doors of the engine compartment. I had a fiberglass guy checking out the stringers and they are sound and for sure there is wood used in the construction.

Anyway to your other thread about blister. I read that all the problems with the blister started in 1975, but Uniflite used to produce the hull and had it sitting in the form until the next order for the same boat was in. Meaning the hull no. 189 might have gottin the superstructure later mabe even in the beginning of 1975.

Well, I wouldn't be to worried about this possibility if the boat has no signs of blisters @ this point.
