Okay, I'm new to this as I'm a female and always had people start
and drive the boats for me....so this is a hard one.

I've just redone the entire interior of this boat. Everything looks
great now. The battery is new and working great. New trailer lights
and all!

Here is the problem: I'm trying to start the thing...and well it will act
like it's going to start in the start position. (It has 3, don't know the
first one, second is start and 3rd is accelerate.) As soon as I move it
to the 3rd position it stops. Dead, nothing! I just don't understand it,
because it wants to start but just can't quite get there. Also when
you move the fuel thingy on the engine it doesn't fill up with gas like
it used to, instead, NOTHING.

Anyone have any idea why it won't start?

what is the 3 position starting thing you are talking about? what is an engine thingy?
I hope you have water circulating via drive muffs before you start it. Please be more specific.

Sorry, the 3 position is the throttle. The engine thingy I was referring
to was the carburetor. I didn't know for sure what the were called at
the time. It is working now though. Okay it got started, just filled up a
55 gallon drum full of water, that is what our neighbor says he does. It
did finally start up and I took the battery back to autozone to be tested
and 2 days later they say it's at 13% so it's bad. (2 days earlier they
told me it was fine).   I put some fuel additive in it and ran the heck out
of it and it seems better now. Today we plan to take it and hopefullly
see what else is wrong with it. Thanks!
