I have an 06 Monticello that I love. It is a great boat. My question to the
group relates to getting it on plane. It has the 350 Mercruiser engine.
While it gets on plane quite quickly with two people in the boat, if you
put 4 people, a full gas tank and a full water tank, you must use the
tabs to get it up on plane. Is this normal for this boat?
Thanks

Oh yeah.
My '04 Monticello was exactly the same way with the 280 hp Volvo Duoprop. It was great and quick with a light load, but needed full tabs and trim all the way down to get up on plane when "loaded".
If you wish, review past posts on the Monticello/250, including some from me.
I was able to solve my problem last fall. We traded up to an Intrigue with twin 320hp Volvos. Problem solved.

Same is true of my 2005 Monticello although we usually run with just two adults and a German Shepherd Dog (port side setee is his spot)
