Hello-
My name is Scott Croft and I work at BoatU.S. I also happen to the
proud owner of a 1995, 2858 that I just picked up at the end of last
season and hope to use extensively on the middle Potomac River in
'06 (I'm on the Port Tobacco River). I figured it was about time to sell
the sailboat since I heard gas prices were so great-
I hope to meet more bayliner owners and swap stories. I am so
looking forward to going beyond a 2-square mile radius and
exploring the river. If anyone ever hangs out at Tim's Rivershore or
the Pope's Creek restaurants (Gilligans...) let me know as I'd love to
meet up for lunch-
Kindest-
Scott

Hey, Scott

I'm Bob Holmes. I have a 2003 Ciera 2850 and keep it at Maryland Maryland in Frog Morter Creek Off Middle River. Like youself I had a sailboat, a Hunter 33.5 since 1994. Lived aboard for three years, singlehanded it to the Florida Keys and all over the northern part of the Bay. Stiffening hands made it necessary to go to power. Now instead of using 3/4 gallon per hour I use 15 gallons and am getting about 1.4 miles per gallon. It makes for pretty expensive travleing.

John-
Nice 2556! A guy next to me at the marina has one so clean you
could eat off the bilge floor. I like the lines of that model.

Bob-
Finally someone who can tell me what my fuel consumption should
be...bought a navman chartplotter with fuel sender but it was on the
fritz so I was clueless until you told me. I don't feel so bad about gas
prices...yet.....I just put gas in for the first time this season and its
mid july already....guess is shows you I don't go very far. I do have
a trip to solomons Island labor day weekend so that's when I'll really
freak out

cheers to you both-
Scott

Hey folks....My name is Bill Shearon and I own the Zack "C" a 1985 3870 and love it.  I am docked in North Myrtle Beach SC. at the present.  Hope to make a trip to New Bern NC in Sept.  This new forum should be a big help to all of us.
