I am a new owner of a 1986 catalina 294. Looking for any info on this boat and having no luck. any ideas where i can get info like # of passangers or weight allowed no plate on boat.. I bought the boat from a broker so no help there.. also what type of fuel usage can i expect has twin 220hp ..

ctcwby28 - Numbers of passengers and weight does not apply to your vessel, only vessels 20' and under.  (CFR 33 183.31-43).  What does apply is that USCG regs require proper PFD's in serviceable condition be available for every passenger on board your vessel. Be mindful of abiding by all USCG safety regulations.  BTW - I owned a 294.  Rare boat.  I loved every minute I owned my 294 Cat.   Lots of cabin space for a 29' boat.  Pretty economical to run to boot.  Enjoy your new toy and I hope you have a great boating season.

WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE CAT LINE WITH A BUNCH OF REALLY GREAT GUYS THAT ALL HAVE CATALINAS OF ONE TYPE OR THE OTHER AND YOU WILL FIND OUT BY READING THE PAST ENTRIES THAT THE CATS ALL SHARE A LOT OF COMMON FEATURES.AGAIN WELCOME AND SEE YOU ON OUR FORUM..
