I have a 04 214Fs and would like to either improve the lighting of the instrument panel or replace the gauges with ones that are better illuminated. The ones I have now are well lit around the edges but the dial itself is unreadable at night. Can anyone suggest a fix or replacement gauges? One of the gauges is a 4 function gauge. Who manufactured these OE gauges? Any help is appreciated.

I ordered my '07 Horizon 220 with a Mercruiser package and then switched all of my gauges to Smart Craft ones. I didn't like the 4 in 1 type, it's too hard to get much resolution of values. The new gauges are separate from each other, and each sweeps 3/4 of the way around the dial. In addition, I replaced the speedometer and tach. Now I also get miles per gallon, gallons per hour, miles until empty, etc. The lighting is much better too.

Which gauges did you replace since the 4 in 1 took up such a small space and to replace it with individual ones means leaving some out in the replacement?

I thought I took a picture of the new dash but I can't find one. If you're interested, I can take one after I uncover the boat for the summer.

I replaced the whole dash. All of the original gauges are gone. The replacement speedometer and tach are the same size. The other gauges are: fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, water temp, and trim. I have a separate GPS unit I installed, so I didn't care about loosing the compass. The GPS also shows depth so I didn't use the original depth sounder.
