Gentlemen! For your kind consideration and with no small pride, I present this just completed project:

This is a Jensen mdl# 960 Audio/video unit. CD/stabilized DVD/MPEG/iPod/AM/FM enabled. 30Watt per Channel, 3 zone speaker control. I drilled the holes in the galley cabinet as a passive way to vent the unit's heat. The brass and plastic holder is custom made.

Port Nav. Station. Note the iPod mount using an iPod removable arm accessory plugged into an Marinco 12VDC port. The i-Pod runs on the boat's power Buss. Also installed: a remote VHF radio controller and Plastimo bearing compass.

Two Bose 'Envo' Cabin speakers.

The AV unit is mounted parallel to the bow/stern axis of the boat, limiting the remote's usability. To solve this, Jensen had as a feature, a remote I.R. remote port feature on the back. I bought two of the IR sensor accessories, plugged them into a 'y' adaptor and mounted this box, enabling full fore and aft remote reception.

This is a Bose mdl# 131 marine speaker. This was the only really practicle place to mount them. Sounds great!

This is the A/V port at the Nav Station: Audio L&R out, video out and iPod input. The waterproof door is custom made. Tested it with a garden hose...cool!
Everything works and my wife (per her request) loves the iPod feature! We're gonna go out and anchor somewhere and test drive...um-- it .
