Need manuals for 337 Commander (1985).
Bought boat recently. Did not get manuals for electical panels, hull, etc.
Need Manuals.
How / where can I get these ?
If anyone out there has one of these,
then will pay you for copies of manuals.

Hi PanchoCC,
Probably the best resource for some of the documentation you are looking for can be found at the Mariner's Museum in Virginia, check out this link, you can request information (if avaialble) but keep in mind that the Chris Craft Archive is being moved at this time and it be a be several weeks until it is available again:
http://www.mariner.org/library/chriscraft/index.php
Regards,
Tom

Hello Tom:
Museum has a screwy website. I think their IT guy has dropped the ball.
The problem is that it provides a hyper link at: http://www.mariner.org/library/chriscraft/index.php the site
which is supposed to take you to the Chris-Craft Research Request Form.
, but when one clicks on that hyper link, it takes you to an
"upcoming event" page. Site needs some work. It's a bit
screwy. Anyway, I emailed them the hull and engines numbers, and asked
for a response. I guess we will see what happens.

Looks like the museum is no help re. 1985 boats.
Here is a copy of their response.
Thanks for the email. Currently The Mariners Museum's Chris-Craft collection is closed. We are moving the complete Research Library including the Chris-Craft archives, about 1.3 million items. We anticipate completing the first week of November 2008.
Also, please note that our collection of Chris-Craft materials starts at 1922 and runs through 1982.
As far as manuals go, Chris Craft did not print specific manuals for each boat model, instead they would produce a generic manual that covers basic operations of a typical Chris-Craft boat.

Well, also no help from Chriscraft:
Here is text of their email:
Dear Sir, Information left to us by Murray Industries, the owner of
Chris Craft during the 1980s indicates that yes, there was a 337
Commander built in Holland, Michigan that was designated the model
“EE”. However, this boat does not appear in any brochures available to
us and we do not have parts, manuals or engineering data for them. All
such information would have been given to the original retail purchaser
and supplies of such material has been depleted. Attached you will find
some information pertaining to a Commander 336 which is the closest
match on file here. I am sorry we are unable to help you with this
matter.
Sincerely,

Hey PanchoCC,
Which model do you have exactly? I have a 1985 Chris Craft brochure of the full line of cruisers which lists a 336 Commander Mid Cabin and v-drive small blocks or big blocks. I wonder if the 336 is the small block and 337 is the big block.
Specs are:
Sleeps 6
Length 33'
Beam 12' 1"
Draft 2' 9"
Dry Weight 12360 LBS
Fuel 250 GAL, Water 50 GAL
Power options: twin 260HP or 340HP Mercruiser, V-Drive

I don't know why these are not hyperlinks. Paste them into your browser.
PS. Internet Explore configuration will downsize/resize jpg images
To get rid of this annoying Bill Gates feature,
Go to: Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced (tab)
Scroll down to the heading: Multimedia
Remove the checkmark from: Enable Automatic Image Resizing
Select: Apply, then OK
Now, you can see the real thing, instead of what Bill Gates wants you to see.
If you ever want to change it back to teeny tiny images, just put the checkmark back in.
