I am the proud owner of a new 2007 170CC with a 90 Yamaha, 4 stroke ob. WOW, she's beautiful.  I came within one day of taking delivery of a Boston Whaler but couldn't get comfortable with the fuel tank setup and lack of stowage.  One Google on "foam filled hull design" got me to the Edgewater web page and a dealer responded the next morning before noon.  I've never had a dealer (boat, auto or RV) call so quickly from a web page request form.  Needless to say, I took delivery the next weekend.

Now - the problem.....the boat sits level in the water when not underway.  The batteries are centered in the console storage hold.  Gear is stowed evenly port to starboard.  People are sitting on the centerline of the hull.  Throttle forward about 3/4/full, tilt OB to 2.5 and plane out, but pull HARD to starboard because the port rail is down 12" and the boat is pulling to port like the bilge is full of water.  The lean to port eases a little once up on plane, but you still fight it while running, no matter what the speed or rpms.

This happened on the very first trip out with the dealer's rep on board and they kept the boat for an extra week to correct the problem.  They removed a "hook" from the starboard side of the hull and said that had fixed the pull to port.  I brought the boat home and filled the gas tank, it started out full for the initial trip out with the dealer and was about 1/2 down when I finally picked it up.  Took it out yesterday on a local lake and it is pulling to port as bad as before.  We ran it for about 3 hours and, low and behold, as the fuel level went down, so did the list to port. The pulling is still pretty bad with 1/2 tank coming up on a plane, but it almost completely disappears after the boat levels out. 

The dealer is saying all the right words, I talked with them while I was out yesterday (what did we ever do before cell phones?) and they are going to talk with Edgewater on Monday.  They don't know what the solution is at this point.

I'd like to know if any other Edgewater owners (or any other manufacturer's) have had this problem and if they would share their solutions or stories with me.  I don't think this is something I can just "live with" in this boat, it is far too expensive a toy to malfunction this badly.  The dip to port is so bad when the fuel tank is full, I thought we were going to swamp the first time I throttled up!

I'll look forward to any info shared.

You may have already solved the problem, but two thoughts...

1) Is the trim tab on the engine properly aligned to eliminate the wheel torque

2) If you have trim tabs, is one stuck in a down position

Just a few thoughts...
