Hello Everyone

I just recently bought a 1988 Cruisers Inc. Holiday 2670 with a blown engine.
I am dropping a rebuilt engine in (mercruiser 5.7L 260 hp alpha one) and I noticed that there is a raw water inlet valve located just to the right of the motor. The previous owner disconnected just about every dam hose and line, so I am not sure what this is for.

There are 2 raw water inlets on the boat. 1 Located under the floor hatch in the cabin, which is to supply water in order to flush the toilet when on the water and 1 raw water inlet in the engine compartment.

In the manual, it says that all cooling water comes in through the outdrive.

This boat also has a hot water heater with a heat exchange unit on it. Not sure if it has anything to do with that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot

I have a 1992 Cruisers 2670 Rouge. I have a seacock located in the engine compartment as well. Mine is connected to a three way valve and pump which allows you to pump your waste tank out through the hull. Obviously this is not something you would do unless you were well off shore where that would be permitted. Not sure how the 88 was set up but maybe this might help you a little.
