Considering purchasing the above named boat and have appreciated the posts here and the information they've contained.

Curious as to whether anyone here has found a pinkish stain (usually about the size of a quarter) in places on the vinyl ceiling inside the cabin of the boat? One marina here told me that this is actually the feces of a fungus that discolors the vinyl. Can anyone corroborate that or have any other ideas what may be causing this? It does not appear to be due to water leakage of any kind.

Too, has anyone found a good way to soften those incredibly hard cushions on the V-berth?

Thanks.

I've got at 2004 Monti, too.

We haven't had any stains or other discoloration like you describe.  If it isn't water, I'm at a loss.

V-berth:  we use a layer of "eggcrate" foam matress cover.  Buy large enough and cut to fit.

See my other posts (some lengthy) in this same forum about the Monticello.  You'll love the boat.

I have some very strong opinions about our local dealer, but that is best left to a private conversation.  If you need dealer support, NH Doral, who is on these boards, is in Merideth, NH.

Good luck.
