Just thought I would say Hi. My wife and I are new owners of a 1979 Chris Craft Catalina 330. The boat has very nice lines and only 600 hour on the motors. We are the third owner of the boat. The boat sat in a boatyard for the last two years. This spring we have started the major work with the replacement of rear bulk heads on both sides. The bulk heads are located at the rear of the engine compartment and under the rear sliding door into the salon. The bulk heads have rotted where they attach to the outside hull and the aluminum channel that supports the fly bridge which bolts to the bulk head. Water is getting into this area from either the rear cockpit or the window on the side above. Have made new bulk heads from 3/4" marine plywood and coated them with unthickened epoxy for water protection and have reinstalled. This issue looks to be a design issue/problem. Has anyone experienced this same problem? How is the water getting in?
