I just thought I would drop a line to all the Trojan ear’s out there in water world, Have a very safe and happy boating season this year. Try not to allow the fuel bull-sh&* to disturb the happiness. Just cut back on the food a little ,you cant sacrifice the beer . LOL. Also, we should use this forum more often, even if it is to let everyone know what is going on.

Thanks for the post. I was afraid the forum was dead. I was a very early participant for a very short time. When I finally got back it appeared that no one had posted for a long time. I know there are a bunch of Trojan owners out there I see 'em all the time. Anyway thanks for the note. I will be on the water, I'll have to save money somewhere else. Maybe food as you suggested.

Most of the Trojan owners are up on the Trojanboats.net forum. Not sure why this forum is not active I guess it is like Bata/VHS.. As you can see, I restored a 1976 Trojan E26, I love this boat and any other Trojan , there just isn’t any other boat that has the lines like a Trojan. What is your ride Bruce? And where are you from? I am up here in Waterford NY, and still not in the water!!!!!

Hi Rick,

I own a 1980 Trojan F36. Every time I see it I fall in love all over again with the classic lines. They are second to none. I remember seeing the F36 on the cover of Boating Magazine in 1980. (I have been around awhile) At the time I thought there was no way I'd ever be able to afford that boat but it was just a matter of waiting 20 years for depreciation to take its toll. When one came up for sale I jumped at the chance.

I live just north of Dallas TX in a town called Plano. I keep the boat in Lake Texoma on the Texas / Oklahoma border, 1 hour from my house. We boat all year around but January and February can be cool. Fortunately, there are enough sunny days to let us get out a couple times a month in the winter. Texoma is known for it striped bass population. I think you call them Rock Fish.

I'll check out Trojanboats.net but I'll keep checking in here as well. Spring is on its way. I hope you are in the water soon.

Some day I would love to have a F36, don’t think I would go bigger than that, but you never know. That is sweet being able to boat year round, if we are lucky we get around five month of boating the rest of the time is too cold or frozen .

I think we call them Rock-Bass, there a nice little pan fry fish that is fun to catch.

Trojanboats.net has a massive amount of information on anything to do with, or solving problems with the Trojan. Just page back thru the forum and you will find it. I liked this forum also, It is a shame that no one gets on it.

Don’t know when I will get on the water, we are looking at having snow tonight YUK

Bruce,

Good luck with the F36.  We had one for 5+ seasons (a 1984) and it was a great boat.  Very under-rated.

When the guy who bought it took it away, we all looked at her pull away and even the yard guys commented that she looked great.

Thanks for the note. We have owned our F36 for 7 years and enjoy it every chance we get. As a matter of fact we just returned from spending the weekend on her. I always like to talk to people abouts boats and all things related so I have to ask...  did you buy another boat? If so, what?

Bought a 1990 38' Viking convertible.  Was looking for something a little bigger (loa is 43) and heavier to venture a little farther.  Unfortunately, diesel is costing what it is.
