I am heading to Md to begin my search for a 500 or 501.

There are too many  501 and 500's to look at them all--so I will have to hope to find the RIGHT ONE  for me---actually that would be a good name "THE RIGHT ONE.

The confusing part is that the pricing is all over the place---anywhere from 100k to $ 410,000. On the surface One would say a 500 for 100k must be totally crap-BUT-you never know---150k goes a long way to redo one of these--

First DECISION--price not part of the equation---is to go with a 500 or 501. By Sunday, I hope to have this settled. Walk in engine room is a huge advantage for someone who will be cruising a lot but the layout of the 500 is appealing to me.

Also, I will probably look at 1 or 2 Jeffersons-but their locations are not convenient. Also,I am not a big shopper so I will probably buy something that just feels like a good deal.

I know it is a terrible time to get into a big boat with the cost of fuel etc--but I have always liked these boats and at 63 years old I do not have the the financial constraits that I did. Also,  if the average usage is 100hrs a year-the cost of fuel is high but not prohibitive.
