I need to talk to owners of Chaparral Signature models with the intergrated swim platforms and see what problems they have had with: leaks, hole shot and porpoise.  The Swim Platform adds weight to the rear of the boat and shifts the center of balance.  Any leak or extra weight (passengers or cargo) pushes the stern deeper.  The bottom of the swim platform has a concaved bottom with a lip that acts as a sea anchor if the swim platform drags in the water. The weight and shift in the balance of the boat on plane amplifies the porposie.

Have other owners experienced these things and what have they done to solve these problems.

I have a 2005 310 with a rather large platform and have not experienced the issues you mentioned. But then again, I boat on a lake with very little chop.
