Hello All,

I have recently repaired one of my heat exchangers.  I will detail that project at another time, if anyone is interested.

In the process of repairing the exchanger (SenDure 3281-4-7) I was appling a coat of high temp paint and noticed that other than two shinny spots where it mounts to the engine (Detroit Diesel 8.2L), there is no electrical connection -- no bonding.  I was thinking of adding a wire to the system as is done on my sea water strainers, but then I thought about the fact that there was none originally.  Now I'm not sure what to do.  Should the heat exchanger be bonded?

Thanks Ron,  I'll take that as a "yes".  I am not comfortable with the bear (paintless) spots on the mounting tabs, so I was going to include a bonding wire just to be sure, and since the exchanger is off and in my shop I can make that addition easily.
