Hi All,

I just purchased a 1972 Catalina Hard top Express this is a wide cabin and looks like a Tri hull. They where built in Chatanooga TN and only approximatley 60 hulls built. I am trying to find any sales literatur or brochures that can show original interior colors and patterns. I am not sure if my interior is original the condition appears too good.

She is powered with twin 350Q Chris Craft engines

Hi Wheelsnkeels,

One place you may want to try is the Mariners Museum in Newport News VA.  They have all of the Chris Craft archives up to 1980/81.  I believe you can give them your hull nmber and for a fee they will copy all of the documents of your exact boat.  They even have some documentation for my model, but not the exact boat (1985 Catalina 280).

Here's the link:   http://www.mariner.org/library/chriscraft/

Good Luck!

Tom

Thanks Tom,

That was my first stop, I got a copy of the origianl Hull Card and a couple black and white photos.

The Archives at the Chris Craft Antique Boat club  http://www.chris-craft.org/ yielded an abundant supply of photos and brochures. Still no definite info on the fabric spec though.

Apparently there was a fabric company named Quaker that supplied Chris Craft but they where taken over by a large Canadian company and the trail seems to nd there.

Thanks for the reply.
