Anyone added a second bilge pump that would be closer to the bow? And if so, where did you locate it and how was it plumbed?

I have the 2870 offshore with a sink in the cabin. I replaced the 500 gph pump with a 1500 and used the same float switch and overboard hose, fitting. I took the well that the sink drained into and place it on the bottom floor.  should work very well since I never use my sink and even if I did it would drain into the bilge
