The only thing that I hate about my boat is where the livewell & raw water pumps are located.  Both have failed.  They are located in the rear bilge which is very difficult to access

I contacted Pursuit and although they were very polite, they could not even tell me how to get to the pumps.  One of the other members here,  JoeyM gave me the method (he replaced his) and it is more of a project than I want to tackle. 

I contacted the local Pursuit dealer and they have said that they can replace the pumps.

They gave me an estimate of $640 - $720.  On their agreement, they did not mention the estimated cost.  The agreement says if no price is stated all work will be billed at time & material (with no mention of the labor rate)

Additionally, they have 2 clauses in the agreement that state that the dealer will not be held responsible anything including (get this) negligence on their part.

I ammended the agreement to include a not to exceed figure of $750 without prior authorization and crossed out the parts that say they are not responsible for their own negligence.

I have the open 3070. There is a set of bait drawers that will come out. This leaves an opening big enough to crawl into. That's where I'll be in a year or two.

No comments on the contract, other than the price seems high, but I don't know how your boat is laid out. It may take a of labor at $95/hour to replace the pumps on your boat.

What model boat is it?  I have the 2870 CC and the livewell and raw water pumps are very easy to get to.  Right behind the access panel above the batteries in the bilge area.

Now, the fishbox macerator is a little worse.  That's in a tough spot in the bilge.  Unfortunately, the previous owner mis-wired it and froze it up so mine is going to be replaced soon.  What I did when I installed a battery charger in the rear bilge was unscrewed the large access panel on the transom deck and had my 6 y/o son crawl down into the bilge and drill the screws in on the battery charger.  I'm guessing he may be needed for the macerator pump as well. 

If the pumps are not forward under the cooler, you may be able to reach after removing that panel.

I sure hope that was including the pump's 

I know the dealer you are talking of. I would consider another estimate from someone else.

The boat is a 3070 OS CC and I have the refrigerated tackle drawers.

I don't like doing projects like this myself or have the time, & finding someone to perform work like this isn't easy.

The job is now complete and the pumps work (just in time to get winterized).

The only goof they made was when relocating the pumps a little, they did not seal the old screw holes.  They will be correcting that ASAP

Pricing was quoted as $400 parts & $240-$320 labor (@$80/hr)

I had a fresh water pump replaced by the dealer. It took about an hour, including clean up. Mine was done under warranty. Your dealer price was not too bad since it included the pumps.

Nice looking boat BTW!
