Hey guys,

Got a 2003 Bayliner 265 with a 5.0 Mercruiser.......gonna take a 52 mile
trip downriver on the Cumberland, wondering about gas mileage,
anybody got any ideas about gpm at minimul cruising speeds....(just
planed out).......app. 2700rpm.........

Mark,

I have a 96 2655 with 5.7L engine and 17 inch pitch prop.  My best cruise is 3500 RPM and a little over 10 gallons per hour.  I usually figure between 1.8 and 2 mpg.

Remember wind and current will also change your mileage.

Wow,quick reply, thanks for your help, that's about what i figured, my
2700 rpm figure was just planed out with very little water and fuel, got
a little algae build up and am hoping to get at least 1.5 mpg......will let
you know how i did after the trip.....
