Have 04 260 Dancer with arch. Has anyone installed additional speakers in the ports on the arch? Now have 4 speakers(2 in cabin and 2 mounted low in cockpit). Is a new amp needed for this? Depth in the arch may be an issue as well. Can wiring be done yourself? Can you wire additional speakers to current speakers without loss of power? Thanks

We have a '04 260 DA as well.  We had the dealer arrange to have (Clarion) two additional speakers installed in the arch & two additional speakers further back on the sides.  Felt it was too time consuming for us to tackle.  It did require the installation of an amp (installed in the locker below the control panel) because the lackluster factory system can't support the added drain on the system.  It does rock & we're the boat that supplies the tunes (Sirius radio/CD) when we're tied up playing "Redneck Yacht Club."

I can't put my hands on the paperwork but if memory serves & it rarely does ay our age...the entire project (4 Speakers, amp, calabration & labor) was somewhere around $600 - $700.  Whatever it was...it's worth every $$$.  Best sounding system at our dock.
