Hi, I just bought an '84 Sea Ray Monaco and it has some chips in the
gelcoat on the ribs that run along the bottom of the hull. How critical is
it to repair these? Is the coating primarily cosmetic, or will damage to
the fiberglass take place if it is not repaired?
