Your idea of joining in you letter June 28 letter was well received.  Janand I purchased our 1986 from it's second owner.  He had purchased it from the original owner who had it on Texoma for 12 years.  The previous owner had it for 3 years at Lake Lewisville when we purchased it  in 2001.  It was original in every respect.  Now, new canvas, all around enclosed canvas on the flybridge, all new radios and lighting were accomplished in the first year.  At this point the interior has been completely done with teak flooring and granite countertops.  Anyone who sees it now doesn't see it as the same craft.  Stevenson did a mid-time complete tune up and assessment including de coking the engines last year.  At 1700 hours we are very confident of the the craft's cababilities. 

This site should prove valuable as I have several questions that I am hopefull other othners can provide advise on.  This winter's project is to completly clean up and repaind the engine room.

To John & Jan,

Thanks for the complement but try to make your posts on the Murray Chris Craft Constellation forum.  That's where all the info on the Connies is located and that's where you should ask questions.  Hope you get some valuable info from the forum and are able to contribute some of your experience to it.

Repainting the engine room is one of my projects too.  Ken did a beautiful job on his engines and posted pictures on the forum.  Unfortunately the picture upload feature of this site is defunct and so far Boat US hasn't shown any interest in fixing it.  But we can exchange pictures by email.
