Has anyone done any research on the continuous supply electric water heaters? The kind that doesn't have a tank.  I have a 20 gal water heater that is eating up a lot of space in the genterator room on my 500.  There are a couple of units at Lowes, one is a whole house unit that draws 80 amps at 240 volts and a unit that would supply 1 shower, sink or etc. at 50 amps at 240 volts. My thinking is that with our low water flows (about 1 1/2 gal a min.)  that the smaller unit might work.

Anyone had any experience with these units or others?

install two 5-10 gal water heaters in series. \

There are too many things that can go wrong with on demand hot water system- Remember KISS.

I replaced the water heater in my 89 Catalina 372 with a Raritan 12 gallon from Defender Industries ordered over internet.  It was shipped to my house quickly and went in very well.  It heats much quicker and stays hot longer than original.  Very happly with company and unit.  I agree, stay away from on-demand.
