Hi everyone.

Just sold my 30'Searay Weekender because we were not getting the use out of her. I am 60 with a 9 year old son who now wants to tube and ski. I have boated all my life and most recent boats have been the Sea Ray and a 25' Tiara.  There is a 1998 245 Cabrio that I could buy for around 19k that was used in fresh water, has a freshwater mercruiser with 180 hours, "loaded", and trailer.  I know nothing about Larsons except the name has been around longer than I have.  Is this a decent boat.  Will it pull my son for tubing and skiing.  How is the ride for sometimes the nasty Long Island Sound. I thought I would be buying something with an outboard in the 23 to 26' range but my wife was "shocked" to see most of these are geared toward fishing with little creature comforts. Any comments of this Larson would be greatly appreciated.

Alan,

I have owned my 2003 for 3 years and love it. I boat on the Hudson and have not ventured into the sound.

I have a Bravo III dual prop and have have pulled my son with it once. He had to work on getting up while the boat got on plane. I think it would be tough if your son is a beginner.
