I just bought a 2005 Glastron GS249 and have been very happy with the choice, but there's one little thing that's been driving me crazy.  Where is the switch for the starboard windshield wiper?  I've looked everywhere!

Obviously, the last owner did not provide the owners manual either.  Does anybody know if it's available for download somewhere?  I've checked the Glastron site without any luck.

Thanks in advance,

Stan

My Glastron doesn't have a windshield wiper so I can't give you a direct answer.  I assume you've tried all the dash switches including the accessory positions.

The Glastron website is geared towards selling boats, not owner support.  That's a shame.  Some people have reported good results by contacting Glastron by telephone.

As for the owner's manual, they may be willing to send this to you but it's pretty generic.  You can download manuals for your stove, refrigerator, head, etc from the individual manufacturer's websites.

Here are some photos of my boat and updates and improvements that I have made:

You might find some ideas here.

Thanks for the reply, Ron.

Alas, yes, I've tried all of the dash switches.  It's become a sort of game now with a $5 reward for any guest who can figure out how to turn on the wiper.  I sent an email to Glastron - haven't heard anything yet.  You are correct about the manual - it is a little generic.

Fabulous pics! I especially like the recessed fire extinguisher and cupholders.  Where did you find the plastic inserts for those?  I'm thinking that an upgrade like what you did will solve a couple of my minor storage issues.

Thanks in advance,

Stan

All the inserts came from:

http://www.ssicustomplastics.com/products.htm

Not only are they great places for storage, if you screw them to the liner without sealant, removing them makes great access holes for wiring and such.

If you can find a phone number for Glastron customer service, you're more likely to get a response.  If you lived near me, I bet I could find the switch>

BTW: I just got home from a great day on the water!
