having just received my 250SE from winter storage i notice that after using the trim tabs there was an apparent oil leakage from the trim tab reservoir into the water

the oil reservoir was almost empty and on contacting the boat yard i was informed that this was a fairly common problem as muskrats could possibly have gnawed through the external oil pipes.

as this also happened last year and it was rectified by the boat yard replacing the relevant parts is there any permanent action that can be taken to stop this happening in future.

any other ideas of what could cause the problem would also be appreciated

I have a few customers who put steel covers over the lines. YOu can buy them at an auozone and they just ziptie on.

Good Luck!
