I have a 2005 Bayliner 245 SB and my water pump will rapidly turn on/off, but, there are no leaks!!

At the shower or kitchen sink... If I turn on the hot and cold water at the same time and then stop the water flow at the end of the spigot, the pump will turn off. As soon as I turn off the hot and/or cold water, the rapid on/off of the pump will continue.

Also, when the pump power is off, the cold water will not have any residual pressure. BUT, if I turn on the hot water, I have enough residual pressure to obtain about a half of a gallon.

Why is there pressure in the hot water tank and not the cold when they are all connected together?

Please help!!!

I accidentally left my pump on while under way and when I returned to port, I noticed that it was on without kicking on/off. Hmmm, leave it on for a couple of hours seem to fix it!
