Is the Doral Prestancia nice? Nicer than the Monticello? The Intrigue?

Well, there's some big size differences there.  I like the Prestancia a lot, and think it's a lot of boat for it's size (really a 28'er).  It's the boat we actually were shopping for initially.  However, when it comes to storage, the Intrigue has way more storage than the Prestancia (in the aft berth, in the galley, etc). Also on the Prestancia the aft berth feels more pinched, maybe because of the lack of cabinetry at the far end, plus the smaller access and no seat at the entrance, so I'd plan on sleeping on the forward berth.

If you like the "window" look though, it's nice having that on the cabin.  I like the Prestancia a lot and I think I would have been happy with that boat too if we had decided to stay a little smaller.

The Monticello is a single engine and much smaller boat, very hard to compare.......

I own a 2005 Monticello. If I had my druthers (and deeper pockets) I'd go for the Intrigue pretty much for the reasons Enersto mentioned. My wife likes the Prestancia and would have preferred it (she thought we were getting one). Really depends on how you will use the boat. We trailer 600 miles from NY to ON each summer so the Monticello fits the bill - the Prestancia would need special permits and the Intrigue is too large to privately trailer. With the smaller boat, one isn't "stuck" so to speak. Also lay-up is free in my yard.
