I saw that some people have major problems with the Doral Intrigue.
Do you have any input

Can't say I have heard of many problems with the intrigue. Only problems we have had with them have been merc related. What kind of problems are you hearing about?

I have sold plenty of them to happy customers. Other then the normal mercruiser problems and gremlins that you always have on a new boat there have been no specific issues on the intrigue. Take a look into the power of the one you are looking at, the 350 Mags B3's are a good motor for that boat as well as the Volvo 5.7GI dp. I dont really see a need to go to the 320's.
Good Luck with the boat!

ROFLMAO!!!!! Man, you shouldn't even be LOOKING at boats if you want nothing to worry!
That said, I wouldn't trade our Intrigue for any other 30' express on the market today.

Well, I know that. But some people say there were 1' cracks in the
fiberglass and Doral didn't say it was covered under any warrenty. They
had to get a lawyer!

You could waterski off of it...... 1' cracks? thats pretty rough, I have never heard of this one. Did the owner hit something? Doral does have a structural warranty so I cant see why it wouldnt be covered unless it was operator error. IE Anchor through the bottom.
Good Luck! NHDORAL

Our boat does 50mph. So I guess you could waterski, but there's
quite
a wake though!
I had only read once about cracks on a Doral, and that was online in
a magazine forum somewhere... And it was a small runabout, not a
cruiser. But then again, I've read horror stories for every
manufacturer out there, and in many cases it's people who have
made mistakes and want manufacturers to cover things that should
not be covered.
As for warranty service, Doral has been front and center with us with
any issues we've had. Pretty good warranty too! Plus they were
great in continuing to support us after our dealer closed their doors,
not all manufacturers will work that hard to keep a customer happy!

Here's some things I would change:
1.The shower doesn't have a hanger, so you basically have to pick it up every time you want to rinse. I plan on adding a bracket for it, shouldn't be a big deal.
2.Some may find this surprising, but I wish the cockpit table was a bit SMALLER, since it takes so much space when we put it up. Some people we've had in our boat love that big table, and are impressed that it's as large or larger than the table on some 37' boats, but we find it a bit too big so we keep it stored most of the time.
3.More grab bars at the windshield walk through. The steps are a bit small too.
4.A real space for a trash bin of decent size.
5.Corian or better quality countertops, our countertops look nice but they scratch too easily.
There's probably a few other things that I could come up with, but I can't think of any more right now... This is all peanuts when we think about all the great features of our boat. Honestly, I haven't seen any other 31' boat out there that can seat as many people comfortably in the cockpit. In fact we hang out with people that own 37' Cruisers and Formulas and their seating area on the lower cockpit is smaller than ours, then there's more at the helm but being on a separate level it's more distanced for socializing. Another huge one for me is the side decks, actually bigger on our 31' boat than most 37' cruisers out there, not to mention the very tall bow rails which make it safer (we raft out with our friends' Cruisers 3672 and even though our decks is much lower the bow rails come up to almost the same height!). Many boats out there the bow rails seem more like a trip hazzard than a good thing. Then there's stuff my admiral would not buy a boat with out - like full fiberglass liner on the cabin (she would not even consider boats with built-in carpet), a screen door at the cabin access to keep bugs out and ventilate, etc. You add that with the great access to pretty much all componets that need to be serviced, great fit and finish (love the woodwork on the cabin, and the teak covered platform, stainless steps to the sidedecks, great quality upholstery, etc etc etc), lighted bow rails (gotta love them!) and the fact that you own a very unique boat that turns necks everywhere we go, and we love every single minute of it! In fact, even though this was our first boat we love it so much that the two-foot-itis is nowhere to be seen. We look at many 33-34' models out there and we see the same amount of seating or even less on the cockpit, no sidedecks or tiny ones, not enough screen panels on the canvas or no screen on cabin door, tough access to engines or genset or batteries or you-name-it, or simply uninspired design and layout.
Oh, and it can do 50 mph when the conditions are right.
FWIW, our runner-up boat was the Regal 3060, but we didn't like the cockpit layout where the back 1/2 of the cockpit seemed to be left out/wasted or just for storage. Also basically no side decks which is kind of a deal breaker for me. Also, since the access to the aft berth was too small and cave-like, my wife didn't want to consider it even though the berth itself was larger than the one on our boat. On the Regal it's a bigger problem too as there's no fixed forward berth, and we're not fans of "converting" stuff. Still, we loved the lines and the finish on that boat.

I went to a look at the Intrigue yesterday; we bought it on the spot. I
liked the blue hull color. When I was driving it on a test drive, I went
into someone's wake at a 70 degree angle and then went out at a 45
degree(90 at the other boat). I could hardly feel it and it was a big
wave!

You don't happen to be the one and only "boater1" do you?
The one that just got banned at the Cruisers Owners Club?

Hey Ernesto:
Had a few gremlin issues on our Intrigue we bought this year. It was a leftover 2005 and Doral assisted to get us serviced after our dealer went out of business. The few little issues are all fixed with NO out of pocket cash and the boat runs great. It's our second Doral and we love the boat.

Al - Cool. Don't you just love the boat? Where are you located?
BTW - I found the hanger for the shower in one of the bags with all the
books and extras. I also finally pulled my Doral pennant from there
and put it on the bow. Nice!
On the other hand, we have sort of been struck by 10-footitis, so we
just listed our boat... we're dreaming now of a classic Hatteras or some
other large yacht with a big salon and a couple of staterooms. Let's see
if we can pull it off...

We are in Annapolis, Maryland. We boat all up and down the Chesapeake bay. Its a great spot. Where are you?
We love the Intrigue. This boat will suit us for a while. It's sized just right for overnight weekend stays around the bay. It is easy to find a slip with a 11'2" beam. The larger boats are more limiting....and costly. Have you seen the Alegria? I think it would satisfy your 10 footitis.....LOL.

My dealer said it came with the boat. The boat does come with a hanger for the shower. The person who prepared the boat did'nt install it.

My 2005 Intrigue I bought new in April 1007 came with the hanger in the Doral bag. I don't think the factory installs them, but rather leaves it up to the individual owner/dealer. We chose to leave ours in the bag.
