Well, after much praying, cursing, lots of hard work, some luck, and lots and lots of beer,

I am proud to say I made it into the slip yesterday!

There were some trully terrifying moments due to the wind yesterday morning (about 30 mph), but with my buddy's help, I managed to get her into the slip.

Let's see:

I had one dead battery and had to hook up jumper cables in the launch slip.

The replacement fuel pump worked, but I forgot to turn the gas lne back on (took a few minutes to figure that one out).

The engine manifold started to smoke because I didn't have enough water in the heat exchanger (that one took awhile too....).

But I got it all straightened out and managed to battle the wind and get her into the water.

I was exhausted, but the season has now officially started!

Hooray!

Congratulations to you Mike for getting her in the water.

My marina has not paid the water bill yet, so the water is down in the river up here at Lock One Marina on the Champlain . I will prob be in the water by the end of April, cant wait, I also cant wait for everyone to see what I have done to the old girl, they are all asking and talking about the rehab and want sneak peeks .

I want to change the name from White Whale which I don’t like to the John Henry after the man I got the boat from whom died shortly after I got the boat from him. Not sure what to do there.

Yes Spring Cometh

Rename it. Hell, you've pretty much made it a new boat, anyway! (Well, different!)

I kind of like "White Whale" though....reminds me of this girl I knew once...

Send me those pix, you slacker!

You Funny

But right, I think I have worked on or replaced every-thing but the gel-coat. That is only because my friend will be taking care of that for me if this stinking weather would stick with spring

Ya I think I will leave the name as is, you are right that name kind of reminds me of that girl "well lets not go there"

I think I will send you a cd with all the pic on it, I just need to take a few more once I finish the seating, teak deck, and a few more odd and ends. Oh ya almost forgot, wanted to remove the prop and give it to the prop man to check balance and pitch just to be fresh.

Do you know if they make a trailer for boats, I have some much stuff to put in her now, I am going to need a 40 footer soon just so me and the beer can get on board.
