We recently purchased a 1996 Doral 270SC and would like to know what combination of windlass and anchor originally came with this boat, or what equipment we should purchase.

Thanks in advance

The original windlass on that boat was a below deck 1/2 rope 1/4 inch chain. Lewmar/Horizon. However, the below deck windlass really cut into the anchor locker. If you can deal with the look, an above deck windlass is so much better as far as jams and snags.

Good Luck, if you have any questions, let me know.

Will
