I have a 1996 29' Phoenix SFX which I have owned for 4 years. The boat has been great for cruising, fishing and diving. I operate it in the Northeast and apply bottom paint every Spring. However, I've had bad luck with the adherence of the paint, especially to the sides just below the waterline. I've used different brands, types (ablative and hard) and I'm careful with the prep work before painting. I've never had this problem with other boats I've owned. Does anyone have any suggestions?
