Getting ready to put her in the water - and after some investigation, we think the water may be coming in through a speaker housing or the power line plug in. What should we use to caulk these items???

What year is your 2655?  I have a 1996 that has two cup holders built into the corner of the port seat.  The cupholders are can let water go down inside the seat where it  can end up in the aft cabin.  If the water is really coming through the bulk head between the cabin and the engine compartment, it cuold be that the gutter around the engine hatch isn't clearing the water fadt enough.

Also when I had mine surveyed, there was water in the aft cabin that the marina said was from the city water fitting.  I could never understand how that could be but once I replaced that (and kept the cup holders dry) I haven't had a problem.

Our 2655 is a 2002 - we do have cup holders on the middle port bench seat but with the cockpit cover and a tarp on over the winter there's no way water would get in those spots. Unfortunately, the port side was exposed to the driving winds over the winter and left water (and mold) in the shelf along the port side of the aft cabin. That leads me to believe it was something more exposed like the power outlets, vents and a speaker housing near a cutout in the cockpit cover. I will check that the gutter around the engine compartment can drain properly. I'm with you on the city water fitting - how could that be the problem!!!???

She's going in on May 3rd, no matter what - I guess I'll be calking away until then. Thanks for your input.

we did find and resolve the problem, it was the dock power line covers - took them off and caulked them, no trouble since

The 2655 was sold a couple of months ago to a gentleman from Poland - he's yet to arrange pickup for export of our baby.

But we have bigger fish to fry - just bought a 2005 325 and have been bottom painting and sprucing up the outdrives. We have to bring her around the Cape to get her home to the river from the shore in two weeks. looking forward to it.
