I have a 2003 25' Cabrio and am concerned about protecting the fuel tank from ethanol additives. Does anyone know if there are tanks made of different materials for this boat? Or should I not be concerned?

Check the Larson website in regards to your fuel tank.  "Ask the Captain" FAQ's.  It states very clearly "not to use E-85 fuels.  If you contact their tech department, they will let get back to you quite quickly.  I have a 1999 Cabrio 254 and anytime I have sent in a question, they get back to me the same day.

I do my boating on the Hudson River and have not found fuel that does not contain E-85.

I think that will be the future for all of us.  Maybe the Larson tech group can give you some answers.  I don't imagine, (if your boat is anything like mine),  changing the fuel tank is an easy job.

I have some questions for you.  I imagine you have the duo prop.  My boat is an SX drive with single prop.  When I first bought it (used), it was very hard on fuel.  After trying many different props I couldn't get the WOT that I wanted and went back to my dealer who changed the gear ratio.  It is much better now however I am reading about bigger boats with 5.7 's that are getting 45 mph at wide open throttle.  I am happy with my WOT but  40 would be on a good day going down stream with a tail wind.  How does your boat perform?  The other thing I find, is my fuel usage is comparable to others my size, but my fuel tank is 20 gallons less than others, so when I travel with others, they are always waiting for me to stop and get fuel while they still have a couple of hours running time.  Do you find this with yours?
