Just upgraded from a Wellcraft 232 Coastal to a 285 Conquest.  What a difference!   The family loves it, and it's much better/safer off-shore.  I am having a couple problems with it though.  There's a water leak into the midberth cabin that I can't trace down.  Comes from inside the starboard wall of boat so I'm thinking one of the rail or aluminum structure attachment points needs to be better sealed, or maybe a leaky pressurized water line. 

The vessel also lists some to the port side at cruising speed, even in calm wind/current.  I have to run the starboard trim tab pretty much all the time.

Anyone ever experienced these things on a Conquest?

Good luck with your new boat.... I am sure you will solve the two problems... which may be related. I can't help much as I am not familiar with your model. but, as far as the leak... a high pressure hose form the outside on the the rail may help you determine if it's the rail.  As far as the the balancing port to starboard, let 's first determine the integrity of the hull and wether there is any water between the two layers of fiberglass.  I would suggest tapping lightly on the bottom to determine if there is continuity. If one side or area is very different then there is a problem. Boston  Whaler has great support. I would call there 800 line and talk to their experts... I have always been impressed with the service... good luck

with the boat out of the water you simply take a small hammer and tap on the bottom of a hull. If a boat has water in the hull, or other assorted problems you will hear a difference from one area to the next. If water is in the hull on one side it will sould very solid.  If you determine that there is water in the hull between the two layer of fiberglass, don't panic, it's not good, but not the end of the world.  good luck
